Festival of Lights

Come see BDW Modern 1 and 2 classes perform at The Festival of Lights on Sunday, December 6th. The Festival begins at 6:00 p.m.

End of Fall Session

The last day of the 2009 Fall session is Dec. 11, 2009. The winter session (Session II) begins Jan. 4, 2010. The last class of the Fall session is open to families to observe.

In order to secure your child’s (children’s) place in his/her class please register for classes on-line. Click on the "register for classes" link. While at the site, click on the auction link and see pictures of our great Bayou evening.

Please note: Musical Theater, Theater I & II and Modern I & Tap I are full and not open to new students.

BDW – Annual Silent Auction 2009

BDW held its annual Silent Auction at Mission Blue on Saturday Nov. 14. It was wonderful seeing so many of the BDW families join us for the evening. In past years, it seemed that families of the past were in the majority. This year we are happy to report that many BDW families were present and many families were involved in seeking donations and helping with the clean up on Sunday morning.

Mission Blue was decorated in the bayou theme complete with a pirogue. The catering treats included New Orleans po’boys, fried macaroni & cheese (it was the hit of the evening) and Creole shrimp. There were over 150 services and items up for auction. Attendees bid on such items as an apartment in Manzanillo Mexico, a gumbo dinner, and original works of art by Brisbane artists.

It is this fundraiser that helps BDW produce its yearly spring performance and keep our class fees low. Although everyone enjoyed the evening, we did not make our intended monetary goal and have fallen short of the funds needed to continue to the produce the high quality show we have in the past.

If you were not able to attend – please consider donating to BDW. A $50.00 donation will help us meet our needed budget and all donations are tax deductible. You may send your donation to BDW. P.O. BDW Students in Performance

If you are looking for a performance holiday treat for the family, look no further!

BDW students Max Beldner, India Rose Bolick, Lucie Cutler, Sedge Greenlee, Sophie Murphy, and Alexandra Schaffer perform in:

Nutcracker at the Zeum, a 50-minute version of the Nutcracker created for family audiences and offering a contemporary twist on the classic holiday ballet will debut on December 4 at the Zeum. Opening night fundraiser on Fri. at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm Dec. 5-20. Tickets: 415-433-1235.

BDW Students Lilah Beldner and Mara Schumann perform in:

Fiorello! at San Francisco's Eureka Theatre, 215 Jackson. The SFArtsED Players will give seven performances of the lively Broadway musical: Friday, February 5 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, February 6 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, February 7 at 2:00 p.m.; Saturday, February 13 at 2:00 p.m.; Sunday, February 14 at 2:00 p.m.: Saturday, February 27 at 2:00 p.m.
